Amateur Folk Ensemble „BOHUSLAVOCHKA”

The ensemble „BOHUSLAVOCHKA” Was established in 1984.The head of the group is  Yevhenia Khorolska, who still sings in the band. The vast majority of participants of the group are elderly women of Bohuslav,aged from 62 to 85 years. In their songs, they combine a significant amount of social folklore about the campaigns, fate and life of ukrainian Cossacks.

In 2007, the folklore ensemble was awarded with the title „Folk Amateur Team”.

The ensemble „BOHUSLAVOCHKA” Is a long-term member of the rural theatrical holidays of Midsummer holiday, ritual ceremonies for the feast of the Baptism, Harvest festivals and others.

In Nivember of 2016, the element „ The Cossack songs of Dnipropetrovsk region” was included into the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage that requires immediate protection, and was well as the amateur folk ensemble „BOHUSLAVOCHKA” was included.
